Concerning His¹ priesthood, Christ having sanctified Himself, has appeared once to put away sin by that one offering of Himself a sacrifice for sin, by which He has fully finished and suffered all things God required for the salvation of His elect, and removed all rites and shadows, etc. And is now entered within the veil into the holy of holies, which is the presence of God. Also, He makes His people a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifice acceptable to God through Him. Neither does the Father accept, nor Christ offer to the Father, any other worship or worshippers.²

Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. 2. John 4:23–24 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” Hebrews 8:1 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, Hebrews 9:24For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. 1 Peter 2:5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.  ↩︎
