Article III

That God1 has decreed in Himself from everlasting touching all things, and the very least circumstances of everything, effectually to work and dispose them according to the counsel of his own will, to the praise and glory of His great name. And touching His chiefest creatures that God has in2 Christ3 before the foundation of the world,4 according to the good pleasure of His will,5 ordained some men and angels, to eternal life to be6 accomplished through Jesus Christ, to the praise7 of the glory of His grace. And on the other hand has likewise8 before of old according9 to His just purpose10 ordained others both angels and men, to eternal condemnation, to be11 accomplished through their own corruption to the praise of His justice.12
