That God is a Spirit,¹ whose being is of Himself,² and gives being,³ moving, and preservation to all other things being Himself eternal,⁴ most holy, every way infinite, in greatness, wisdom, power, goodness, justice, truth, etc. And that in this Godhead there be three⁵ distinct persons co-eternal,⁶ coequal, and co-essential,⁷ being every one of them and the same God, and therefore not divided but distinguished one from another by their several and peculiar property: The Father⁸ of none, the Son⁹ begotten of the Father from everlasting, the Holy Ghost¹⁰ proceeding from the Father and the Son before all beginnings.
