And thus do we the subjects of God and her Majesty falsely called Brownists labor to give unto God that which is God’s and unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, endeavoring ourselves to have always a clear conscience towards God and towards men: And if any take this to be heresy, then do we with the Apostle1 freely confess that after the way which they call heresy we worship God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; believing all things that are written in the Law, and in the Prophets and Apostles: And whatsoever is according to this Word of truth published by this state or held by any reformed abroad in the world.
